Cost & Aid Deadlines

To receive priority consideration and potentially access more financial aid resources, students are strongly encouraged to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after it opens on October 1st of each year.

The priority deadline for the Financial Aid Office to review a student’s FAFSA for awarding for a term of enrollment is 14 days prior to the start of the term.

FAFSA applications will continue to be processed after that deadline. However, Jackson State cannot guarantee processing will be completed and funds made available by the deadline to pay for each semester's classes listed on the Academic Calendar.
