Community Mental Health Counseling Centers:
Sometimes we just need someone to talk to. Jackson State offers brief counseling services free to currently enrolled students. The Counseling and Career Center is in Room 133 of the Student Center and staff accept walk-ins and appointments.
If more help is needed, the community offers both public and private services. The following is a general list of mental health counseling centers that covers the Jackson State service area. This list is for informational purposes only and is not intended to be an endorsement of any agency.

Drug Treatment Finder - A comprehensive guide to addiction information and finding drug treatment centers.
Drug Treatment Finder Health Screenings - Several screenings are available. This program is confidential and anonymous. Immediately following the questionnaires, you will be given your results, recommendations, and key resources.
Drug Rehab - This website provides information for individuals who may want to learn more about drug addiction and treatment options.
Getting Smart On Study Drugs - One of the most drastically rising trends in middle schools, high schools, and on college campuses is the abuse of prescription stimulants otherwise known as "study drugs." This guide provides information on study drugs and why using them is not smart.
Substance Abuse and Dental Care - A great resource that describes in detail just how substance abuse can impact a person's teeth and overall oral health.
Jackson - Madison County Anti-Drug Coalition - A local coalition that works to educate the public and support parents with resources to stop abuse of alcohol, illegal and prescription drugs and tobacco.
