Math faculty helping students

The Department of Mathematics at Jackson State Community College provides the opportunity for students to increase their knowledge of mathematics through both quality instruction and a comprehensive selection of courses.

Courses are designed to meet the mathematical needs of our students--whether their educational goal is Lifetime Learning, a Certificate , associate degree, or bachelor degree. Particular emphasis is placed on the development of strong analytical skills and providing students the necessary background to excel in a changing technological world. Remedial and developmental courses are provided for those students who lack the prerequisite skills necessary for success in college-level mathematics.

Mathematics Courses

Jackson State offers college level courses as well as courses that prepare students for college level mathematics. The Learning Support Courses are designed to build and refresh your mathematical skills and to promote your academic success.

Associate of Science degree with emphasis in Mathematics

Jackson State offers a College/University Transfer Associates of Science degree with emphasis in Mathematics.

Additional Information

During the Fall and Spring semesters, most of our math courses are supported by tutors in the Academic Assistance Center on the second floor of the library. During selected hours, tutors may also be available in the Math Learning Center located in C-101 on the first floor of the Classroom building.
