Submit your application and supporting documents by March 15th for the upcoming academic year.
Financial Aid Application Processing Deadlines
Fall Semester
To receive "priority" consideration, the JSCC Financial Aid Office recommends that you complete and submit your FAFSA by February 15th. All supporting documents must be received by the Financial Aid Office by March 15th.
All paperwork received after March 15th will continue to be processed. However, late applications will be considered for Federal Pell Grants only and they will not have the guarantee that financial aid will be processed before the last day to pay fees.
Freshmen
If the first-time freshman will need to have financial aid processed in time for fall registration, the FAFSA and all supporting documents must be received by July 15th.
Late applicants will continue to be reviewed for eligibility.
Returning and Transfer Students
If the returning or transfer student will need to have financial aid processed in time for fall registration, The FAFSA and all supporting documents must be received by June 15th.
Late applicants will continue to be reviewed for eligibility.
Spring Semester
All students that will need to have financial aid processed in time for spring registration must meet a November 1st deadline. Late applicants will continue to be reviewed for eligibility.
Summer
All students that will need to have financial aid processed in time for summer registration must meet an April 15th deadline. Late applications will continue to be reviewed for eligibility.
Financial Aid Suspension Appeal Deadlines:
The Student Aid & Awards Committee will review all written requests for reinstatement that are complete, documented and received one week prior to a scheduled meeting. Appeals received after this date will be reviewed at the next scheduled meeting. If your appeal is successful, you will be placed on probation or good standing. You will be informed of the committee's approval or denial in writing at the address you indicated at the top of this form.
