Jackson State's Heggie Honored as TJCCAA Player of the Week

Jackson, Tenn. -- Jackson State Community College sophomore Cody Heggie has been honored as the TJCCAA Player of the Week. The Clarksville, Tenn native was 8-11, scored 6 runs with a double, a triple, and two homeruns during the Generals weekend sweep of Southwest Tennessee Community College in Memphis.

Heggie, who splits time at first base and right field, leads Jackson State with 47 rbi through 28 games. He is tied for second on the team with eight homeruns and leads the team with three triples.

Jackson State is currently 20-8 (10-2 TJCCAA). The Generals will host Motlow State Community College this weekend with a single game today at 2 p.m. and will play a double header Saturday at 1 p.m.
