Apr 10th, 2020

Jackson State Community College's healthcare programs have donated hundreds of face masks and other Personal Protective Equipment to West Tennessee Healthcare during this time of national crisis. The college's Respiratory Care program has signed a memorandum of understanding with WTH that the program's ventilators may be used should the demand grow beyond the inventory on hand by the organization.

"These are challenging times that require extraordinary efforts by everyone in the community," said Cathy Garner, Respiratory Care program director. "It has been great to see Jackson State answer the calls for assistance during this crisis. We are confident that the same would be done for us in a time of need."

Jackson State Community College moved all of its classes to an online format over the spring semester and most of the classes will remain online throughout the summer term. The campus has been closed to the general public and is only accessible to key and essential personnel. The latest updates about changes to the status and schedules of the college can be found on the COVID-19 Update page at www.jscc.edu/covid.
