Spanish Students Team Up With Criminal Justice Students To Learn The Spanish Version Of The Miranda Warning

Apr 19th, 2022

Great things are happening in the Division of Communication and Humanities! On April 12th, Prof. Marisol Hernandez-Soto's Spanish students teamed up with Prof. Karen Perrin's Criminal Justice students to learn the Spanish version of the Miranda Warning. The Spanish students helped the Criminal Justice students pronounce each line, and then they discussed the ways that native and non-native speakers might "say" and "hear" each other during an exchange.

Interdisciplinary experiences like these are an excellent way to show students that their general education courses are not only connected but integral to their growth and success in their educational and professional goals.

Thanks, Prof. Perrin, Prof. Hernandez-Soto, and all your students for the work you're doing in your classes!
