Jim Moss Center for Nursing

nursing building

Construction finished on the 35,000 square foot Jim Moss Center for Nursing shortly before the Fall 2015 semester began. The facility includes a suite of rooms designed to simulate a hospital wing and includes much of the same technology and equipment found in a hospital.

Students will also be able to simulate caring for multiple patients with competing needs and manage unexpected changes in workflow.

The facility also has an area designed to simulate a home environment. As members of the Baby Boom generation age and develop medical conditions, home health and hospice care is projected to increase.

Construction of the building was made possible thanks to matching contributions from West Tennessee Healthcare.
