The Jackson State Community College Placement Services office is available to all currently as well as previously enrolled JSCC students and alumni. The Placement Services office is located in room 120 of the Walter L. Nelms Classroom Building and is open from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm Monday - Friday. Placement Services assists individuals with finding employment. While Placement Services cannot guarantee employment, we will refer you to positions for which you appear qualified and which seem to meet your needs. In order to receive assistance, students and alumni must register with the Placement Services office.
How to register with the Placement Services office:
Step 1: Complete a Placement Services application. You can pick up an application from the Placement Services office in room 120 of the Walter L. Nelms Classroom Building , or download our application,
Step 2: Schedule an appointment to come in and discuss your job search. Appointments can be made by calling us at (731) 424-3520 ext. 50315 or 1-800-355-5722 ext. 50315. Bring your completed Placement Services application with you to the appointment.
Step 3: Prior to your appointment, submit an electronic copy of your resume to Résumé Review or email it to Annette Deaton at email@example.com . If you do not have a resume, no need to worry. Placement Services can assist you with developing a résumé.
Step 4: Keep your appointment. In the event you are unable to keep your appointment, please call the Placement Services office before your appointment time to cancel or reschedule.
