Mission and Responsibilities
The primary mission of the Office of Institutional Research and Accountability is to assist Jackson State Community College in all aspects of institutional planning. The Office of Institutional Research and accountability is responsible for four major areas related to institutional planning:
- Institutional Research- includes Quality Assurance reporting, Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) reporting, providing data for external accountability, internal surveys, ad hoc data requests, and visualization of institutional metrics
- Institutional Effectiveness- assist in the development and completion of IE plans for each academic and student support unit as well as educational programs (including the assessment of student learning within the General Education core)
- Strategic Planning- assist in the development and implementation of the institutional strategic plan,
- Accreditation- assist with institutional accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges, assist with programmatic accreditation and the academic audit process of non-accredited programs
