English

The Department of English offers a wide range of courses in composition and literature. These courses not only provide the first two years of a four-year degree but also prepare students for career programs offered on our campuses. Recognizing the importance of communication skills for success in almost any career, English faculty teach composition in a computer lab setting, enabling students to enhance these vital communication skills through one-on-one interaction with their professors. A wide range of literature course offerings allow students to learn about their own and other cultures while exploring the art of literary writing.
