The Division of Social & Behavioral Sciences offers a wide range of courses that will help you to gain an understanding of society, its make-up, and how you can have a positive effect. These include:  Criminal Justice, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, History, K-6 Teaching, Physical Education, Philosophy, and Geography.

The Division of Social & Behavioral Sciences not only provides the first two years of a four-year degree (the "transfer pathways") but also prepares students for a number of career programs! The areas of critical-thinking and problem-solving, as well as self-understanding, are key components of the Social/Behavioral Sciences and help build personal success in any career. A large part of the "people skills" needed for working with others come from understanding how society and history shape our attitudes and beliefs.
