Directory of Community Resources

The Directory of Community Resources is a list of various community and state resources you may find helpful. The agencies included in this directory are not affiliated with Jackson State Community College. These resources are for informational purposes only and the directory is not intended to be an endorsement of any agency. Mental Health Support

Sometimes we need someone to talk to. Jackson State offers confidential counseling services free to currently enrolled students during the fall and spring semesters. The Counseling office is in the Student Center and staff accept walk-ins and appointments. ULifeline: Mental Health Resources For College Students

JSCC - ULifeline - An anonymous, confidential, online resource center where, college students can be comfortable searching for the information they need and want regarding emotional health. The site also offers self-screening tools, information about mental/emotional disorders, and how to obtain help for oneself or others.

Community Mental Health Centers

If more help is needed, the community offers both public and private services. The following is a general list of community mental health counseling centers as well as a general list of addiction counseling and treatment centers that covers the Jackson State service area. This list is for informational purposes only and is not intended to be an endorsement of any agency.

  • Carey Counseling Center, Inc. - Serves the following West Tennessee counties: Benton, Carroll, Gibson, Henry, and Obion
  • Quinco Mental Health Centers - Serves the following West Tennessee counties: Chester, Decatur, Hardeman, Madison, and McNairy
  • Pathways Behavioral Health Services - Serves the following West Tennessee counties: Dyer, Gibson, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, and Obion
